The following is a sample itinerary for Backpacking in Thailand. Please do not make travel plans too detail, up to writing activities by the minute. You want a vacation, not enslaved by the schedule.

Afternoon: Downtown Chiang Rai
evening: Chiang Rai Night Bazaar
- The Ninth Day
Morning-early afternoon: Mae Sai, the Golden Triangel, House of Opium, Chiang saen
evening: the streets seputaran hostels
- Tenth day
Morning-Early Afternoon: Five Hilltribe Villages, White Temple
Evening: Ride a bus to Bangkok
- Eleventh Day
Morning-early afternoon: Dusit palace, JJ Market, MBK
At 8: 00 pm evening: Fly with Air Asia's return to the motherland
