Golden Mount
The most interesting part of the Golden Mount, or often called Wat Saket is a 40-meter high artificial hill built by King Rama III in the late 19 th century. Visitors must climb 318 steps to reach the top of the Golden Mount.
The tiredness due to up the stairs pay off after enjoying the beautiful panorama from the top of the Golden Mount. You can even see the river Chao Praya from its peak. Any early November, the Golden Mount in the pack with a red cloth and decorated with beautiful lanterns. Surrounding area is also enlivened by the night market.
Golden Mount is open daily from 8.00am-7.00pm o'clock, and the most fun for a Backpacker is No admission fee, just asked to fill out a donation box ''sincere''. This is very beneficial because we get free entertainment and enjoyment. If you live in the Khaosan Road, this area can be reached by foot.
